"WOW!!!!"
Planned a weekend trip with my 2 best girlfriends and my sister, just the 4 girls no husbands, no kids. We actually stayed in Wilmington (Lake Placid/Whiteface) and made the drive to Lake George after finding out it was bike week! This is a quick tale of our adventure..

Fort William Henry is all about the French and Indian War. It was named in honor of Duke Cumberland, son of King George the III. On September 8, 1755, General Johnson re-named Lac du St. Sacrement - Lake George. While we were there they had an archeological Dig going on.It showed how the Colonial soldiers lived and died.
We saw a musket firing exhibition and a cannon firing exhibition.
The sadest story is that of the massacre of hundreds of Colonial men, women and children whom, fell victim to the tomahawk.
