Lake Luzerne Hotels

KOA Lake George, in Lake Luzerne: KOA camping in Lake Luzerne area

In 1981, this KOA was called KOA Lake Luzerne. It now has the title KOA Lake George/Saratoga. (guess KOA is trying to get some mileage from linkage to big name places).

Place looks pretty much like it did back then when we tented there.
They've added some one-room cabins and now they have many more RV sites than tent sites.
The trees are a bit bigger and the price is a bit steeper, but I'd camp there again.

We found that we could save quite a bit of money with a family of 6 by camping at KOA and then driving to the places we wanted to see in the area instead of spending all our money on hotel rooms. On these trips, once a week we would get two hotel rooms for one night and get in our baths and clothes washing then hit the camping trail again at the next attraction.

Unique Quality: Was a very quiet camping area with nice activities to keep the kids busy on the dull rainy days of our trip.
