THIS IS WHAT I CALL A SMALL TOWN
"FOR A SMALL TOWN THERE SURE IS A LOT HERE TO SEE"
At first sight, it appears that Liberty is a typical small town in New York. After checking on some local history, I was amazed to find that Liberty is loaded with historical buildings dating back to the 1800s and that the town has been around since the 1700s. Some places of interest include the HJ Sarles Department Store, Hotel Stanton, Children's Home and Barn and The United Methodist Church. There are enough buildings in the small town to see, to keep any history buff intrigued. Architecture enthusiasts will be elated to see the many different styles found in this small area, everything by modern to Gothic to colonial styles of buildings. It truly is great just to walk around such a wonderful place.
