    New York can be one of the most expensive places to stay, especially on short notice. Marriott Courtyard is always a "known quantity" with clean rooms and friendly staff.

    Located on 40th Street between 6th and 7th Ave it is the ideal location for somewhat quiet yet close to all the action. Times Square is only "two" blocks away.

    • We recently stayed at the Courtyard By Marriott Times Square. It's located on 40th Street, just south of Times Square. Two things that immediately struck me as different from the other Courtyards I've been in are that it's 35 stories tall and doesn't have a courtyard.

    Recently renovated, the bed was awesome. After a day of seeing the city it was nice to come back to a clean bed with awesome pillows. The rooms were very quiet with almost no outside noise. They room we were in had a flatscreen TV as well.

    The only downside would be the small size of the room but that's to be expected in New York City.

    The best thing about this hotel is it's location. You can walk out and be in Times Square almost instantly. The Subway is right on the corner if you need to get elsewhere. There is also a Drug Store adjacent if you need something that you've forgotten to pack.

    The staff are very friendly and the concierge will help you with any arrangements you need to make during your stay.

    • Great little hotel! Needed a hotel for a couple of days before Christmas and this was great! Stayed here from 22nd-24th and it was really nice. Very convenient to everything and quite inexpensive for NYC! Very comforatable beds and there was also complimentary coffee in the lobby and a nice little deli just next door.

    Very convenient, two blocks from times square!

    This was where I stayed for th emajority of my year in NY. It's NYU's graduate residence in Washington Square Village. Had some fun times!
