this is the first time we have stayed in this place and we were plesently surprised, we has two apartments that sleep 4 ours had 1 queen size bed in the bedroom and a pull out couch in the main room and as the person that got the couch i will state that it was very comfortable. The place comes with all that you need for a stay including a dishwasher !!
The only thing i will say against it is that its a bit far from Macys which is always our focal point , and i think this is more to do with where we would normally stay ie a block from macys. It was a 15 min walk to the Macys block and while that was ok in the morning it was "miles " when it came time to go home but a taxi only cost about 10$ so that is normally how we went
Is there such thing as a cheap New York Hotel? Normally I'm not a bargain hunter but I am travelling with family this time and they have put me on a strict budget! I need a hotel for 2 nights in April that is as close to Times Square/Central Park/etc as possible, and as cheap as possible... they are hoping to spend no more that $300-$400 for the 2 night stay..... please help I am going crazy!!
Days Inn Hotel Is nice and 3 or 4 blocks away from the Time Square. Is about 170 per nigh a single room, I guess the doble should be arround 200.

Try the Comfort Inn Midtown, on 46th, half a block from Times Square. We booked a room on their website and were really pleased with the room, the location, and the price. The front desk folks were very helpful.
Take a look at the Salisbury, Radio City Apts., and the Belvedere. All highly regarded budget hotels. Read the reviews on tripadvisor.com and browse through the Candid Traveler Photos on that site.
If those are coming up too expensive for your dates, you might look at the Hotel Newton, another well-reviewed budget hotel. It's not far from Central Park, but it's a couple of miles up Broadway from Times Square. Still, it's right near the subway that will zip to you Times Square in 15 minutes.
Try the Envoy Club. we stayed there for 5 nights early December 2006. We thought it was very good value. They are within walking distance of Times Sq, Grand Central etc, alternatively a cab was only costing us a couple of dollars. I would definitely stay there again. Having previously stayed at the Grand hyatt and the Radisson, the Envoy Club was better in terms of rrom sizes and value for money.
