Cheap Manhatten Hotel
This place provides basic accomodation. Do not expect more. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet, the water hot, the TV worked, and the shower was acceptable, although a bit mildewed around the top of the tub.
Don't be in a hurry when you arrive. It took the porter, Jose, 30 minutes after we called to show up with the key. Jose is a likeable, nice guy.
The price was right. ($169 per night for two in Chelsea (with private bath) Transportation (bus and subway C,E) just steps away. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby.
In my opinion the website shows accomodations that are spit and polish; the real accomodations are not quite that nice. (Website said microwave, found none)
On the other hand, a lot of websites overstate.

Hotel 309. Any experiences?
Hello all,
does anybody have experiences with the hotel 309. I will come to new york for four weeks. and they offer a nice room with priv bath, wifi and kitchenette for only 2400. i guess this is very cheap. but i read a few reviews and they were not that good.
Maybe someone can give me some information?

I'm pretty cynical when it comes to reviews. I always think the very best and very worst are written by either owners/employees and their competitors. Even considering that, this hotel doesn't look like a place I'd want to spend four weeks.
