A beautiful green space
Central Park is paradise! All my life I have heard how dangerous and horrible Central park is...well, all I saw was a wonderful space to wander! I have no idea about the nights...but glorious in the daylight!

Hi, Just wondering have anyone ever heard of oyster.com? If so, have you ever booked with them? As i can't find any reviews about this booking site so would like to know peoples opinions before i book. I have found the best prices on there for some hotels so is very attempted to book with them. If someone could get back to me i would be greatful. Thank you :)
i am interested in this too but it looks like it is all last minute bookings - is a US site a guess which is why here in the UK we have not really heard of it
I have only used them for a reference guide. They have excellent pictures and details of hotels but have always found better luck with pricing on priceline. They are a newer site, here is a articile I found in USA Today.

You might look at flyertalk.com, go to forums scroll down to online bidding and hotels. There are some posts about oyster.com by members of flyertalk.
If you are interested in a hotel that is listed on Oyster and are cautious about booking, why don't you email the hotel direct. Just say I have this rate on Oyster and can they match it. It is worth a try.
Thats a good idea, thanks chilliebean for your help :)

When I arrived in New York and checked into the hotel I switched on the TV, and what was on but my old favourite - Seinfeld!!
How I have missed them.
Since I moved from Sydney to London nearly 2 years ago, I hadn't seen an episode.
J.O.Y. Pathetic I know, but I was happy to see some old friends.
Go see a show (Broadway or Off- Broadway -- or Off Off Broadway, for that matter). The Talent in New York is unprecidented. See something you've never heard of. Hit or miss, it's something you'll never forget.
Also, take in the nightlife. I am a swing dancer, so I'd recommend Cache, or Swing 46 for starters. I would miss dancing the night away at a swing club, and then going to an all night diner to tide me over til morning.
Visit the Empire State Building. It is NYC's extreme rush when looking down. The food is better no place else in the world. The Bronx Zoo is the second largest zoo in the world second only to San Diego. It is the richest and most exciting place in the universe.
...for the best 360* views of this city! This cool and unusually-shaped FLATIRON BLDG is just one of the architectural wonders which await you! Hey, is that ZB down there? One of these days, it will be again, n'est-ce pas?!?!

Q: JFK to Morningside Heights "I am arriving at JFK on July 1st (a sunday) around 11 am. Since I'll be alone and with a fair amount of luggage, I was thinking..."
A: "That's the price I paid on my last trip to NYC. Sunday's are usually lighter, but you never can count on a quick trip from JFK to down town."
