You can get a terrific view of the Island of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty from the Staten Island Ferry. Even better, It's free. You really can't beat that on a gorgeous day or a clear summer's night.This picture was from Summer 2001 - before September 11. Our daughter lived in Staten Island at that time, and we'd take the ferry to and from the city.I always loved to take people to the top of the World Trade Center. It was one of my favorite places in the world. It will be a long time before I see the skyline and not think of all that is missing.
