wonderful apt rental in Paris

http://www.nyhabitat.com/paris-apartment/vacation/77

We stayed in an apartment in Paris we rented through nyh & it was a great experience. I will use this company again. They took the guess work out of renting an apt in a foreign country

Unique Quality: The customer service was great.

Great Vacation Rental Service in New York

This company provides a great selection of vacation rentals in New York; it’s the 1st time that I have booked a vacation rental in a city. I have rented a condo in Florida before, but never an apartment in a city. I would defiantly do this again. In addition to being lots cheaper then nearby hotels I had a great location 4 blocks from Times Square and I had a kitchen to make meals for my kids. Saved a lot of money so we got to do more activities. Defiantly would recommend New York Habitat for their extensive selection of apartments and well informed and trained agents.

Unique Quality: Location was amazing, plus having a kitchen was a great convenience. I only wish I had chosen an apartment with some outdoor space, but I know that that is had to find in NYC.

Do not book upper floors!

We were so excited when we were told about getting an upgrade to a mini suite with our private bathrooms, we were only in for a big surprise.

While we were going up the elevator we were sure that we had lucked out since every floor we stopped on was beautifully decorated. But when those doors opened on the 15th floor, we almost felt like crying. The walls and carpets were horribly dirty. We had to ask the front desk for extra sheets after having discovering some lil surprises someone had left on one of the beds.

The reception was quite patient with us, we were there quite often trying to change rooms and managing to get the two rooms one next to another.

We decided to stop complaining when we realized we were only 5 min from all our favorite shops and a 15 min walk from the MoMa museum. Plus, we had reserved through expedia and paid a very reasonable amount per night.

The hotel was going to remain entirely for sleep and hygiene purposes.

Habitat: Hotel or Hostel?

One look at prices for New York hotels and I was all set to get a hostel - but my traveling companion had other ideas. Never having stayed in a hostel before, she was leary of trying one in NY. She choose Habitat off the 'net - and we couldn't have been happier.
An easy walk to Times Square and shopping on 5th Avenue. A bit deserted at night.
Room itself was small and a bit smelly. Had a sink, A/C, TV, and pull-out cot for the 2nd person. Shared bath and shower. Good enough for the 5 hours a night you'll plan to be there.

Unique Quality: Nice lobby - with doormen, a bar serving expensive glasses of red wine til 3am, and a free all-day luggage storage service, which came in very handy.

A good choice

With an ideal location on 57th Street between Lexington and Park Avenues, Habitat is an easy walk to many of the city's best entertainment, shopping, and major attractions- such as MOMA, Rockefeller Center, Broadway theaters, Bloomingdale's, Niketown, F.A.O. Schwarz, Saks Fifth Avenue, and the Hard Rock Café.

The Habitat Hotel.

$100 w/out private bathroom, $125 with. I say go all the way!

Unique Quality: Small, clean rooms, with air conditioning and heating, no strange smells, people, or rodents. Efficient and courteous staff. The place to go if you want to see Manhattan and not the insides of your eyelids.

The Habitat Hotel

Unique Quality: Simple basic rooms with shared facilities. Fantastic location, 2 blocks from Bloomingdales and a short walk from the Empire State Building, and Central Park. Very cheap budget hotel for travellers, immaculately clean, rooms come with TV and wash basin.

Habitat Hotel

For a single the rates can be as low as $85 a night without tax. For a double it will be more in the $100 range.

Unique Quality: Being two college students, we didn't exactly have the money to stay at the Ritz...but we also wanted some privacy and security that we were not sure that we would get at a hostel. So we decided to make the Habitat Hotel our home sweet home. I think it has a variety of rooms, but we stayed on a floor where there are four rooms for every bathroom. In other words, you get your private room, but the bathrooms are shared. I was surprised to learn how many hotels do this shared bathroom thing in NYC. Anyway, it kept the costs low, the rooms and bathrooms were kept extreamly clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and we felt the hotel was in a great location.
