Cave of the Winds Tour is a must if you visit the falls. Yes, it's touristy, but the tour will nonetheless take you almost underneath the falls. You'll be clad in yellow rain gear and shoes so you don't get wet (watch your camera too!). It's actually quite neat. It is sad that all of the stairs and everything were built around the falls and that there are boats and people everywhere, somewhat detracting from the natural beauty. But oh well, what are you gonna do, right?

Take a walk around the fall, all the way along the park.....then on the way back, check the bars and souvernir stores...
Also, if you're able to flight over the Falls in a helycopter or on a boat...... Watching the water falling and the drops falling on my eyes was one of the most delightful experiences I've ever been through.
Tipping in Niagara Falls (NY & Canada Side)
by machomikemd
Some hotels include tips or gratuities with group programs to simplify bookkeeping. This will usually include gratuities for housekeeping, bell service and food service. In a hotel, bell service should be tipped about $1 per bag, and housekeeping $1 to $5 dollars a day (in proportion to your room rate). Visitors should know that the standard tip in restaurants is 10%-15% (on restaurant bills, an average tip will match the GST & tax for Canada Side), with 20% for very outstanding service. This is especially important for visitors from countries where tipping on meals is not done: here the waitering staff depend on tips for a significant portion of their incomes. Tip taxis about 10%, and a dollar a bag they carry for you (not just unload), or at the very least round fares up to the nearest dollar.
Packing List

If you go on the boat you get a plastic coat to wear and you really need it 'cause everything will get wet. So wear it and put your bags and things underneath. You will be totally soaked if you don't wear it. You sure need your camera, you will take many, many pictures.

So here is the scoop. If you ever wanted to go sky diving here is your chance.
first things first. You took a class that was about a half hour long. It was mostly a video followed by simple instructions.
Next they suited you up. Lastly you jumped out of a plane!
The jump was a tandem jump meaning you are hooked to the instructor so there are no accidents.
On the way down i was able to see niagara falls. They also said that i might be able to see Toronto, but it's hard to look when your falling from 12,000 feet!
