good for a family stay

The motel was in the process of renovating so there were some unusual smells like paint and cleaners and carpet glue but other than that this was a great motel. Everything was new and clean. Sheets were soft and not starchy; bathroom had been regrouted and had no mold; swimming pool was in good condition; breakfast area was clean and neat.

The staff was friendly and readily applied our AAA discount to a two-bed no-smoking room.
The room had all the essentials (TV, beds, desk, bureau) and also had iron and ironing board and hairdryer.

The free continental breakfast was adequate with cereal and rolls and juice and coffee and fresh fruit and bagels and muffins and toast. Saves us from having to go out and find a breakfast place and spend more money.

We got our money's worth from this motel.
There is only one drawback to this place and that is that they allow pets in the rooms.
We did not get a room where a pet had recently been but have had the experience of old pet smell in a room in other motels. You might want to check that out with the front desk if you are sensitive to those odors.

This is a tourist center in the Adirondack Mountains conveniently located on route 28 at the west end of Fulton Chain Lakes. The permanent population is several hundred but in the summertime the number of residents and visitors goes well into the thousands.
