If you are interested in seeing an amazing sight then you need to check out the eternal flame at chestnut ridge park.
First of all, the park is know as a running Mecca. Numerouns trails for hiking and running. It also has a great view of the city of buffalo and if you are their late you will witness an eye catching sunset. The ridge also has ski hills and pavilions if you are interested in a picnic or relaxing day at the park.
My personal favorite at chestnut is the eternal flame.
You park at Seufert Road. Follow the trail head marked by Blue Trail marked made of blue wooden blocks. This trail is a 1.3 mile out and back that winds through the woods and ends at the base of a waterfall. In the water fall there is a flame that burns from natural gas escaping from the rocks. It is an awesome sight.
