Owego Treadway Inn And Suites

When we initially saw this hotel driving up it wasn't too impressive. Upon check-in and looking around it we found out it was a nice place. It's right on the river with a lot of the rooms opening on patios and balconies. The restaurant at the hotel is wonderful. The rooms were very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We'd definately recommend this hotel to others.

Unique Quality: Great view of the river. Has a 30 foot lighthouse on the edge of the river.

I stayed there a few times growing up - mostly my prom. The hotel is older & they haven't rennovated in a long time, but it is clean and located right on the river. The grounds to the rear of the building are well tended & nice for walking - the parking lot is poorly maintained, however - so watch your step! They have AMAZING breakfast so don't miss it. They are not that expensive (expect to spend $7 - $10 USD/per person with tip) and be prepared to get FULL. As far as places to stay in the region, I would highly recommend it.

Unique Quality: Beautiful view of the river, oddly positioned "lighthouse" of indeterminate origin, GREAT breakfast - not to be missed. For those of you that like to camp or canoe, ask where Hickories Park is - it's close with a boat launch for the river.

Directions: From Binghamton - take Hwy 17 East to the first Owego Exit. Right at the end of the exit across the river, veer left at the "V". Take a right at the end of the loop & a left at the next light into the parking lot.
