HUDSON VALLEY RENEGADES
This past Saturday, I got the pleasure of taking Pumpkin and the boys to their very first baseball game. The boys were excited especially Sebastian. We were lucky to be one of the first 2500 fans and were able to get a t-shirt free, we gave them to the 2 oldest boys, one even got his shirt autographed by Rascal the Renegades mascot. Long story short, once the game started, the kids and adults had non-stop fun. It didn't take any of them long to pickup on the numerous chants, foot stomping and hand clapping fun. The only thing the boys didn't like was when Gwen Steffani songs were played, they quickly covered their ears at the very first sound of Holla Back Girl. The tickets are really cheap for these games, but the food is on the pricey side. It didn't take much for me to fork out $38, lets see it was one extra salty pretzel for Hammy, popcorn for Sebastian, fries for Gryphon, fries and nachos for me, a hot dog for Rich and drinks all around. My folks, who treated us to the game, also picked up foam fingers for each of the kids. These games are filled with little games and contests between innings. It was lots of fun, there was an ice cream eating contest, a pimped up draw your own peace sign contest, margaritaville contest, some guy who took it for his section (he got a bucket of mud dumped on him), tic tac toe, are you smarter than a little leaguer and lets make a deal Renegades style. We all had loads of fun. I almost forgot to mention Rascal the Racoon, the Renegades mascot who did dances and singed autographs all night. Money, a seat cushion, and a camera
