The end of New York... as some would like to think
If you listen to way some talk (people in NYC) they will inform you that Poughkeepsie is the end of the line for NY. Beyond its just no mans land. This of course is complet bull. One day i might actually come back and do more here. bye
DUTCHESS COUNTY FAIR
Patrick loves to go on rides. For him the faster it goes or the more it spins, the better. We went on the Tilt A Whirl with him, what a big mistake for someone with motion sickness. Took me almost an hour to get over it.
Thank goodness Grandma has a stronger stomach than mom. Patrick at least got to go on some super fast spinning rides with her.
The fair switched the company that it uses to do the rides and games and I can honestly say it was a good choice. There were better rides for the kids this year than in years past.
As silly as this sounds, there were adults coming off of this "kiddie" ride complaining that it was too fast. Patrick loved this ride best of all the kiddie rides.
The dragon ride is a standard at all the county fairs around here. The kids can turn the middle metal ring to make the dragon spin as fast or as slow as they would like. Patrick and his crew had their dinosaur spinning at warp speed.
Patrick was surprised by the way these cars whipped around the corners. He laughed harder and harder each time it did it.
This is a basic kid ride, but as soon as the children realized that their buzzers worked it became the loudest ride in kiddie land. The operator ended up shutting off the buzzers cause it got so annoying.
For once we let Patrick forego a ral lunch and let him pick what he wanted to eat. He picked chocolate frozen custard. He truly enjoyed eating his ice cream cone lunch.
