The highlighted areas in the accompanying map show the extent of the park; it is almost all undeveloped than with rudimentary trails that hikers and birders have forged.
There are no facilities at the park and the city is leaving alone to maintain its natural beauty.
The park overlooks the creeks and marshes that feed the Irondequoit Bay. There are a lot of wildlife (deer, raccoons, groundhogs and the like) that reside here.
Some caution should be used when walking in the area to protect yourself from deer ticks which might carry Lyme disease. (Blouse the pants at the shoes; buttons the shirt sleeves at the wrist).
to get there:
enter the park from the west via Tryon Road; off North Winton Road (between Browncroft Blvd and Empire Blvd)
