Travel Tips for Saugerties
Put your boots in a bag INSIDE the bus, not under so you don't start the day with cold feet. Put your board or skis in a bag under the bus. This day was 60 and sunny We were in t-shirts for lunch and light jackets or none at all while boarding Advil is a must after a day on the mountain I used a disposable camera for fear of breaking camera. Sun Glasses and sun block came in handy. A pillow and BLANKET came in handy for the bus ride to and from.

Looks like I get to be the first (only?) person to write about Saugerties! We visited this town as part of our trip across the US in July 2000. I had read about it and it sounded fascinating. However, we were a little disappointed. Certainly, there was plenty of colonial style and Victorian architecture but we could not find a good place to park and wander about. It was a pretty town near the river, though and maybe worth a stop for lunch.
