Meeting Hillary Clinton

How many people get to study for their citizenship, get to have a news photo taken to boot and then years later get an autographed signature of the first lady. My mom was very proud to recieve it and I remembered she studied hard to earn it. While I was learning to read so was she.
When I heard she might possibly get to meet Mrs. Clinton, I talked her into taking the photo along and getting it signed. Sure enough she was fortunate enough to. What a great momento for her and us.

Utica is about 50 miles east of Syracuse and 90 miles west of Albany on the NY State Thruway and the Erie Canal. Although economically Utica has seen better times, many local residents would not trade their lifestyle for a warmer climate or more thriving economy.
The surrounding towns of New Hartford, Whitesboro, Yorkville, Clinton, NY Mills, Sauquoit and others are as much a part of the community as the city, but not often mentioned in the same breath, as they should be.
