business hotel
This motel is setup to make the business-person's overnite stay as pleasant as possible. The amenities that stand out are the complimentary breakfast, the internet access, the cable TV and the work desk area.
We were not on a business trip but still enjoyed those amenities plus the quiet atmosphere of the hotel and its immediate vicinity. There was very little traffic and the adjacent rooms were very quiet (no parties or kids or dogs). We especially appreciated the non-smoking rule for the whole hotel.
Rooms were clean, neat and had adequate space for the two queen beds. There was a full bathroom with tub (for extra price you could opt for jacuzzi) and an iron and hairdryer. Our room only had a two-cup coffee maker (I would have preferred a 4-cup unit) but free coffee was available in the lobby all day and night.
The beds were very comfortable (a little on the stiff side which I prefer) and there were plenty of blankets and pillows.
Room prices started at about $110 (AAA rate) and went as high as $140 with extra amenities.
That rate is a little bit high for Fairfield but actually comprable to other motels in the area.
There was a common pool and jacuzzi area for all tenants but we had very little time to use them. Many of the other people in the motel availed themselves of the clean facilities though.
If you are looking for a place for an overnight stay and do not mind driving a few minutes to get to a mall or restaurant then this motel is good. There were five or six places to eat of various classification (italian to american, fast-food to luxury dining) within 5 miles of the motel.
Unique Quality: The motel is right next to the expressway and even though they have an indirect accessway to reduce local traffic near the motel, there is a constant shoosh of cars on the expressway.
