Fallen for Cumberland Falls

Met by the B&B's concierge, we enjoyed a wonderful kick off to our 4-night stay. The owners and staff take every effort to see to their guests' comfort and needs -- they have great suggestions for activities and restaurants and will make reservations if needed. The day begins with a beyond-divine three-course breakfast, and ends with turndown service complete with truffles on the pillow, in between there are mid-afternoon treats. The inn is an authentically maintained three-story Victorian, with beautifully landscaped grounds. Each of the rooms is decorated differently; the two rooms on the top floor have angled roof lines which lend a lot of character -- but beware of bumping your head! The inn's location in the Montford neighborhood of Asheville is well-suited for running/walks, and is within walking distance of Asheville's downtown (15-20 mins.). We're looking forward to booking a return visit soon!

What a perfect place. The location is within walking distance of downtown, and several other areas including the university. It is a lovely historic home , with garden's to get lost in, in the heart of the historic residential district. It has been completly restored and any room would accomidate the most discerning guest. The Inn Keepers are very knowledgeable and provide information for every need. Breakfast is 3 course and outstanding. Breakfast is also a great time to chat with other guests and get their thoughts on dining and touring options that they have experienced. We found two outstanding restaurants visiting over breakfast with the other guests..Private dining is also an option on the enclosed sun porch. A great place for returning or new Ashville visitors, as all the local only places are known by the Inn Keepers.

Cumberland Falls is an exceptional bed and breakfast in Asheville, NC. The staff is very accomodating and the owners are very friendly. The home is well cared for and the grounds are charming. Be sure to come hungry for breakfast b/c the chef, Helena, is a GREAT chef. I recommend the rose petals for a nice relaxing bath. We could not have asked for more! We enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful anniversary there!

Cumberland Falls is a gorgeous B&B in a beautiful neighborhood very close to downtown Asheville. The staff is the very best at knowing the area and giving suggestions based on the preferences of the guests. The breakfasts and afternoon goodies are to die for! Everything was perfect, from the extremely comfortable bed to the fresh flowers in the room. The gardens and water feature made the outdoors as wonderful as the indoors. This was the perfect place for our anniversary trip, and we hope to be back again. Asheville is unique and so is this B&B!

We've stayed at numerous B&Bs over the past ten years, and although all were good, it would be hard to select one as the absolute best...until now.
The gardens, with its stream and waterfall are so peaceful and relaxing, I could have spent the entire weekend there, drinking in the beauty. The conceirge, Heather, is great--she'll get you directions, reservations, whatever you need, in a snap. The house is lovely and welcoming; you can feel comfortably at home in the common areas. Breakfasts are delicious!!!
We stayed in the Lion's Den, a fine room with four large windows that welcomed the morning sunshine. Huge tub, marble floors in the bathroom, comfortable bed and chair, plenty of room and a great view of the tree-shaded front yard.
Downtown Asheville is an easy 20 minute walk through a historic neighborhood...and Heather will tell you the most scenic route.
I can't say enough about Cumberland Falls. I'd give it 10 stars if the website would let me.

Wonderful 3-course meal... the muffins are to die for. We stayed in the Garden Vista room, which has a beautiful view of the gardens. We loved the gentle sound of the waterfalls outside our window. The room is very comfortable and the bed is perfect. Only downside is the very small pedestal sink in the bathroom however, the 2-person whirlpool made up for it! We will return to this wonderful retreat!

We are still new to the bed and breakfast way of traveling, however this weekend encouraged us to keep staying in them. This was a lovely house with great service. We stayed in the Sunshine room, which is rather small, but has a fabulous jacuzzi tub and skylights. The sounds of the fountain outside can also be heard from the room. The concierge was great. She recommended a very good restaurant and bar. We also were given detailed directions to everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast is also very good. It is a three course meal that left me full all day! I would highly recommend Cumberland Falls to anyone visiting Asheville for a nice, relaxing weekend.

This was our first visit to Ashville. The Cumberland Inn Falls Bed and Breakfast was a fabulous place to stay. The staff was terrific and the breakfast was to die for. The grounds were beautiful and the house was clean, clean, clean. Just loved the decorating!
Exceptional Service at this Inn

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Cumberland Falls Bed and Breakfast this past weekend and to say that we were blown away would be an understatement. Patti and Gary were the epitome of service. They were there to greet us when we arrived with hot chocolate and tea (it was a very cold day) and were always available with prompt attention to any question or need that we had.
Gary offered suggestions on several occasions for resturaunts, and they were all fabulous. We were always presented with precise (and accurate) directions to any location we were heading to, and the staff made all our reservations for us.
The inn is beautifully furnished and our room (Garden Vista) had a wonderful view of the landscaped back yard.
The breakfast was superb (especially the German eggs) and the service during breakfast was always attentive without being "smothering".
In short, we will definitely be planning future stays at the Cumberland Falls Bed and Breakfast, and would advise others to do the same.

we had a very nice stay at the Cumberland Inn. It was our 25th anniversary and Heather, our hostess was tremendous. She gave recommendations and told us what to avoid. She gave us directions to whereever we needed to go and told us how long it would take to get there. We were the only one's in the place and were treated like... special. The owner of this B & B was very helpful as well. He gave us the run of the place and gave us history ofthe town. Very knowledgeable of the area. Very nice.
