Good value - 61,05$ per 2!

This quite large motel is conveniently located for everyone coming by car, easy to find and navigate to and from both downtown and the Biltmore Estate, also well signed at night. It has fenced outdoor swimming pool in front of parking lots and a round reception room. It consists of a a few buildings. The front one, one-floor and made of stones looks quite good. I stayed in not that pretty two-floor building in the back. The motel looks much better from the front side and from the outside. Some furniture and TV-set in my room had to be older than me. But I can't complain too much, my room was quite large and everything was clean.

Unique Quality: I need only comfortable bed to sleep, good light for reading, wall sockets to charge my batteries and clean bathroom with hot water. Add cable TV with Weather Channel and coffee maker if possible. My room had it all and additionally a mini refrigerator and a hair dryer.

The busy guys in the reception room were all very, very friendly and helpful. I tried to speak Greek with one of them, of Greek origin, but my Greek was too poor :-( for him. Anyway we had a nice chat in Greek-American language. The home-like atmosphere made by stuff is main adventage of this motel. The other is a reasonable price. With a discount coupon (from a leaflet I took from North Carolina Welcome Center at Tennessee - NC state line) I paid $61,05 (with taxes) for a room with two beds. As I noticed motels and hotels in Asheville tend to be a bit more expensive than in other similar size cities. Well, the Biltmore Estate is only here. So, Mountaineer Inn is a good value.
