Julian Price Memorial Park, off the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile marker 297, is a park and campground administered by the National Park Service. There are many individual campsites around four loops. Loop A is along Price Lake and is the quickest to fill. Loops B through D are on the other side of the parkway. Each site allows for one car, and up to two tents. The campsites are first-come first-served, so arrive early to get the best sites. To reserve a site, stop at an unreserved site, set up camp, then go to the ranger station and reserve the site that you chose.
The park includes several miles of hiking trails, including a short 3-mile loop around Price Lake, and a 5-mile loop along the Boone Fork and Hebron Rock Colony.
