When people say "y'ouns" (pronounced yuns) to you, such as "y'ouns might want to catch the music happenin' t'night", understand that they mean "you", or "you-all", and keep the blank look from your face. That way they'll know you are a 'visitor', not a 'tourist'.

"winter blues and whites"
when you see bryson in the winter, it may be covered in snow, layered in ice, or just starkly bare, with an azure sky above. Whatever the skies bring, there is beauty all around, from the river that runs through it, to the many hikes in the nearby parks, and in the eyes of the many townspeople, who, despite being a part of 'tourism', never met someone they didn't find a friend in.
Remember to slow down----uncommon, unhurried, unspoiled. That's us!
