Charlotte has much to choose from: Football - Panthers http://www.cpanthers.com/ Basketball - Hornets http://www.nba.com/hornets/ or Sting (women) http://www.wnba.com/sting/ Baseball - Knights (minor league)http://www.aaaknights.com/ Hockey - Checkers (minor league) http://www.gocheckers.com/ Or for racing there's Lowe's Speedway in nearby Concord http://www.lowesmotorspeedway.com/index2.html or North Carolina Speedway in Rochingham http://www.northcarolinaspeedway.com/My recomendation is to go to either the minor league teams. Both are realitively inexpensive and tons of fun. I've never met someone who's gone and not had a good time.
