Cleaning solution worsened by allergies
I was so exhausted that I just collapsed into the bed when I got in the room. Perhaps I was too tired to notice the heavy scent of cigarettes and cleaning chemicals? Well, two hours later I awoke because of hunger, and arose with a sinus headache.
Also, I wore a pair of clean white socks around the room and was shocked how dirty they were when I removed them that night! I wore socks the entire time I was in the room!
------- 08 March 2007 Update --------
I received the following email from the General Manager:
Please accept my apology for the problems that you encountered while a guest at my property. There is no excuse for cleanliness issues and I will show this letter to the head housekeeper. We will have your room carpet cleaned immediately. I will advise all housekkepers to take it easy on the room deodorizer.
I have adjusted your room rate off and credited your Master Card. A credit will go out on our night audit tonight, and you should see it in a few days. Again my apology for the issues here at my hotel.
