There are a number of mid-priced chain hotels in the area and the Hampton isn't all that different from the rest. Its located west of the main strip of Cherokee with its garish collection of "authentic" shops and larger than life images of Native American stereotypes- giant teepees on building rooftops and larger than life tomahak bearing indians and similar things. Still, its only about 10 minutes from the park entrance and a couple blocks away from the town, the Indian village and Harrah's Casino.
This is a newer Hampton property and everything appeared to be in working order. There is no elevator in the two story structure, so bear that in mind when making reservations if that's an important factor. Room rates are comparible with the rest of the hotel chains, but the free breakfast that's thrown in makes this a slightly better bargain.
Directions: When exiting the park, drive past the Cherokee museum and Indian village until you reach the stoplight. Take a right here, driving in the opposite direction of the casino and the main strip. You'll find the hotel on the right.
