the hotel is extremely nice , unfortunatly last room i stayed was suppose to be non smoking but stunk very bad like an ashtray house keeping made a note and said would take of it .there something else on my mind , the golf cart use to shuttle ones who had difficulty walking to an from elevators no longer runs , i have several friends who thought that to be1 of the greater attributes of the hotel n casino the chairs also have lessen for 1 to stop and rest that use to be along the hallways. we also dont understand why a year ago people hit jackpots regular few people we know hit em anymore. to the point of becoming discouraged to come.th
Unique Quality: thePOOL N SPA CHAIR LIFTS is very hepful the rotunda is a very nice additive also

Casino Hotel

Came here for a conference. New, spacious and capacious facility. Great rooms, comfortable beds. Casino connected. Restaurants on site are very good.
To see anything beyond the hotel casino, even downtown Cherokee village, requires a car and a fair drive. Restaurant offerings other than fast food are at least 20 minutes away to the north or south. Our stay was too late in the year to take advantage of the outdoor theater presentations.
Tribally owned, brand new facility, it is in competition with other, smaller hotels/motels in what has long been a tourist town.
Unique Quality: Located in a valley of the Smokies and close to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, with nice views of mountains from the upper floors. Modern rooms, WiFi in the rooms.
Blue Ridge Parkway starts in Cherokee, with a slow, twisty, and fabulously scenic drive along the Blue Ridge. Just over the mountains to the north are Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg TN, which are heavily touristed, with more upscale tourist joints and attractions. On weekends Cherokee is busy, but it is vacant compared to bumper-to-bumper traffic in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Nice hotel, ok casino

We went in early June for a couple of nights. The hotel is nice and the staff friendly. This isn't a casino that you're going to leave rich from, I barely broke even. It wasn't overly crowded during the week.
The restaurants aren't really kid friendly so we ate off site. Soco Diner isn't to bad, there is another place on the same side of the road as the hotel that is ok too. There is a daycare center nearby (Kid Zone) if you need to drop them off while you dine (reasonably priced, lots to do there, my 5yo didn't want to leave).

beautiful area, but the slots are terrible never pay off, need to be more like biloxi, where i will spend my money in the future. I. 've gotten coupons to use on area hotels from the casino, but have never been able to use them , always told nothing availabe., guess i don't lose enough money. biloxi here i come!!!!
very nice place to go and the staff is great but the machines are horrible.

Great place to go, the staff is always cheerful and helpful but what gives with the machines. they are way to tight for the money the casino pulls in. really no fun at all. the management needs to address this problem before they can consider their casino a top rated establishment.

We visited the casino a couple of weeks ago, we spent around a $100.00, and we didn't win any money at all. Needless to say this is our last trip to the casino in Cherokee.

I have found that when you play, you pay....there is very little winning in the casino. My last trip, Aug 2004, I saw an employee not minding her professional manners with a customer. And I was disappointed how her manager handled the issue.
Know how much money you are putting in the coin machine, the outcome is not always correct. Stay away from the high jackpots on the quarter poker machines, I have put hundreds in one machine and not get any return. Yes, I was the stupid one........ However if you can get lucky enough to get a room in the casino, it is better when you have other guest with you......good luck....I am a gold card holder and they seem always to be booked.

I find that the Cherokee Casino has a lot to be desired in the tightness of their slots. We have been to Vegas and were able to play for a while (4 days) for a $1000. When we go to Cherokee I lose usually around $400 or $500 a night. I also can never ever get reservations at the hotel. The food in the buffett is terrible. When they first opened it was very good. Biloxi here we come,

I spend alot of money in the Harrah's Casino
machines and have not gotten anything for my money, I have gotten coupons to stay free in the
Casino Hotel ,when I call to book a room the rooms are all booked as well
as all the other participating hotels. why bother sending coupons for free room stay if you are not
going to honor the coupons? Also I was treated
very rudely by an employee that was carrying drinks around to customers, I was nice to her even though she was rude to me, I thought she had a bad night and I was convenient for her to vent on.
I am very disappointed with harrah's cherokee casino.

we go to Harrah's about every three months and i enjoy it except for the fact that i agree with those who have written you.i have stayed at there hotel 1 time only and the rest of the time they say it is booked.either they save it for high players or new customers to try and lure them back,the hotel is never available and i get offer for free shows all the time and the tickest or seats are already full,this is another gimmic and shoukld be looked into by somebody.there machines are tight but i find that in Biluxi or most of the others,the isle of Capri in Lulu,miss.i wish they also wouuld loosen them up and that is all i have to say,thankyou

rooms excellent i have never been turned down for
a room had to change dates one time due to concert, average 4 times a year win jack pots 3 out of 4 times. would highly recommend but dont expecp to spend 100.00 and win 1000.00. you need to know what you are doing. i have been to biloxi and gulfport , and i think harrahs cherokee ranks pretty well with the casinos there . the staff is always super friendly and service is outstanding ,we care guest with us often now they are harrah regulars. we will be there this weekend and have guest from tenn. meeting us there. looking forward to another great 3 nights and 4 days compliments of harrahs cherokee thanks for everything .
