Fabulous Shopping
by iluvme1977 about Concord Mills Mall
They have everything there and its beautiful. You can shop you can eat you can play games....Its a rainy day event ...or something to do after visiting Lowes Speedway. I went mainly to Nascar shops due to the company I was vacationing with. Huge selections... I bought alot of items for my nascar fans at home
Outdoorsmen, take note
by b1bob about Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World
This is the perfect antithesis to the previous tip The Great Indoors. Men, while she's getting remodeling ideas there, you can go here to upgrade your fishing pole or hunting gear. The first time I've ever seen a Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World was at Concord Mills Mall in Concord, North Carolina. Four years later, another opened up closer to home in Ashland, VA. Each store is decorated like the state it is in. In the Charlotte area store is a 40-foot, (12 m.) rock climbing wall and a cascading waterfall descending into a pond with real fish. The Virginia store had an old country store where you could buy candles and fudge. Considerably larger than its Concord, North Carolina counterpart, there was a waterfall inside. Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World caters to fresh and salt water fishermen, campers, and hunters in the way of equipment, apparel and footwear. Although this is a hunting and fishing store, the prices aren't terribly cheap. It caters to a more sophisticated outdoorsman.

Birkdale is a golf resort area, not a town. There is a large shopping center area there called Birkdale Village. It is located in the town of Huntersville. Huntersville is on I-77 exits 23 and 25. Concord Mills is 20 minutes away from Birkdale, in Concord. Concord Mills is off of I-85. There are hotels in Huntersville, and Concord Mills areas.

FYI, the Birkdale area (Huntersville) is only a few interstate exits away from Davidson on the interstate. I think this is what you meant.
