Ithe Inn At Corella Light

We saw this large bird standing in the water not far from the boardwalk on the nature trail. He was oblivious to us. The Whalehead Club is now a waterfowl game preserve and he seemed to realize this was his turf and chose to ignore the intruders. We saw quite a few different types of birds on the trail. At one point in one of the shaded areas we saw a large black snake swimming through the swamp. Although I am not fond of snakes, I still had to take a few moments and watch him swim through his natural habitat. I am not sure if he was a water moccasin or just a black snake. I did not chose to get that close. Nature truely abounds in the area.
