Heavenly Blue Devils
"Beautiful Minds"
Durham is located in the famous Research Triangle of North Carolina along with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University in Raleigh. In many ways, this area is one big city as opposes to three separate cities. Residents of Durham often go to eat Raleigh or party in Chapel Hill. This page will focus on Durham's famous university.
Duke University is one of the nation's finest universities. The school's mascot is the Blue Devil and beyond academics, it is known mostly for its outstanding basketball program. The school is divided into two campuses (east and west) and the west is by far the most beautiful. The Duke University Chapel, built in the English Gothic style, was completed relatively recently in 1932 and in my opinion, is the state's most impressive church.
"For the record . . ."
. . . I am neither a Blue Devils or a Tar Heels fan. I don't like the Wolfpack (NC State) and I don't even pay much attention to my own college, UNC-Charlotte. Nope, I'm a Minnesota Golden Gophers fan through and through!
