A Farewell Trip
my trip to greensboro, north carolina was indeed a memorable one. i was with three of my closest friends from philly. 3 of us drove all the way down (9 hrs!) to NC from PA to visit a friend who lived there at the time.
what i can recall abt NC in general is its lush greenery and scenic spots. a nice drive with picturesque views for photography enthusiasts like me. i think here is where i decided to call myself an amateur photographer, if you can even call it that.
"The Beach"
i call this photo 'the beach' due to the sandy shores surrounding the lake. i have no idea whether this is man-made or not but it was a kodak moment i couldnt resist.
this was taken while on a train ride to the wild water rafting park.
this is another shot taken fr the train ride to the wild water rafting park. i thought the reflection of the forest in the water was so peaceful and pretty.
the water rafting was a first-and-last experience for me. little did i know it was 9 miles of paddling on ofentimes rough waters. the whole ride was a mess...we couldnt control our raft, we were left behind, stuck and forgotten, we had an old grumpy couple as our team members and finally, our team-appointed captain (one of my friends) was thrown off the raft. it was quite a thrilling experience tho.
sad part is i knew then that that was the last time the four of us will ever be together. we soon parted ways as we now live in different time zones. and one of my friends just suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth a few months later and none of us has heard from him since.
