BlueWater Point Motel and Marina: Good budget motel
This is an overall clean motel with friendly staff. The rooms are normal sized motel rooms with a microwave and small refrigerator. The beds weren't extremely comfortable but they were on par with what I would expect from a motel at this price point. The motel is located on the sound so it's great for boaters but it's on a narrow part of the island so it's a short walk to the beach.
Unique Quality: By far the best reason to come to BlueWater Point is the restaurant. I've eaten a lot of good (and bad) seafood in my days visiting coastal NC but this restaurant is my favorite. Great service, great prices, huge servings. The shrimp and flounder were fresh and big. I tell everyone to come to Oak Island just for this restaurant!

Oak Island: Oak Island Accomodations
This is a rental cmpany that has been great to use. We have rented a beach house through them for 6 years, and only had one concern (which they quickly and gladly remedied for us!). I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to stay here!! We always reserve online, and it is simple and easy!!!

Ocean Crest Motel: North Carolina beachside motel
We stayed for three days in November. Since November is the off-season for this area, this motel was a steal at $55.00 a night. The room was clean, with fridge, table and chairs, sliding glass doors that open onto a private balcony over-looking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Can you ask for more?
I highly recommend this motel, even in-season. The shore is mostly lined with condominiums to be rented, though some had permanent residents. This is one of the few motels in the area.
During the in-season these same rooms cost $160.00 per night.

Captain's Cove Motel: The large apartment that we rent there
Captain's Cove also offers a large two bedroom apartment for rent for $1,000 per week. It is a great value. I rent it and split it with my cousin and her four kids. The living room has a couch and loveseat. There is a nice bar for breakfast and large dining room table with six chairs.
One bedroom has two double beds and the other bedroom has a double bed and twin bed. There are three tvs and air conditioning. Only one bath to share, but it works out.
We had 10 sleeping comfortably in the apartment and a few nights a few others slept over..Nice size kitchen with stove and microwave. We like to rent the large apartment which is Room #231.
It also has a nice size porch to sit on and enjoy the pool area and cool breezes.

Family owned and operated for 30 years, Captains Cove Motel provides a
quiet family atmosphere.
The beach is just a block away with 8 championship golf courses nearby
Unique Quality: Our kids really enjoy the pool area and the kiddie pool has a dolphin fountain that pours water into the pool. The kids get a kick out of it.
We also like to play volleyball in the pool and there are lots of tables for eating around the pool.
The motel also has picnic tables and grills located for the guest to use.
