We stayed at 'Song of the Sea'...
We stayed at 'Song of the Sea' on West First Street in 2000, and we will stay there again this year. This photo is taken from the gazebo on the dunes, looking back at the house.
Last year we stayed at the Ritchie house on East First Street.
SONG OF THE SEA:
Oceanfront, one bedroom with two double beds,
$560 per week.
'Song of the Sea' is the most inexpensive oceanfront property we have found. It will also accommodate smaller groups (most of the other rentals sleep 14, etc.) It's a no frills accommodation - no washer/dryer or telephone, but the proximity to the ocean can't be beat! The beach at this end of the island is much closer to the dunes than on the east end.

When at the beach - there is...
When at the beach - there is really only one option in my opinion - Beach rentals. This place is called, get this - 'BIG KIDS CASTLE'. It sleeps 8 easily, and 10 comfortably. It is also fairly economical when you split the weekly expense. I have a lot of information on beach rentals in this area. Contact me through VT email if you are interested in learning more specifics.
