I've never stayed at the Raeford Inn and I'm afraid that push come to shove, I'd have to drive right past and go on over to Fayetteville rather than stop here. I could be wrong, but first impressions are very important...
...and this place definately gives a bad first impression. It's one of those flat run down old single level motels that someone thought would nicely accomodate more patrons if they parked a couple of used trailers at the end and portioned them off to make more rooms with window air conditioners hanging off them.
We've been enjoying our stay since the spring of 2001, the kids especially. They no longer have to share a room or a bathroom.
This is a great place to stay...we have primitive camping facilities (your choice, hayfield, pasture, orchard, or yard), an apartment in the shop with it's own bathroom (including shower) which the boys from Ohio have dibs on since that's where we keep the beer fridge, and a guest room and several couchs/futons in the house which women and children get dibs on.
