Travel Tips for Raleigh
Be careful what you say about...
by jocozo3
Be careful what you say about whatever College Basket Ball team around here. We are talking the dead center of the ACC. NC State is here with Duke and UNC only a yell away (the rest aren't exactly far either... except Florida State). Rivalries run deep.
Otherwise, Raleigh is your typical American city.
Great Breakfast on Saturday
by SosoSeth about Big Ed's
Big Ed’s is great on Saturday morning. They have an old band out front while you wait in line singing Dixie songs. Inside the atmosphere is a collage of southern relics. It is a great place to get some southern cooking! Grits, Sausage and biscuits! And Sweeeeeeet Tea.
The best crunchy rolls!
by nyonnetti about Sushi Blues
I am a huge sushi fan and I am constantly trying to find the best sushi. This place makes some of the best sushi I have had in the area. This place also is a hotspot for nightlife downtown- has a great bar with some really delicious coctails. On Tuesdays from 10pm to 12 midnight the sushi is half-price! Crunch Rolls, but all the rolls are awesome!
Haywood Hall House
by Maria250
Haywood Hall House was built, federalstyle, in 1799. It is one of the oldest original residences within the original Raleigh city. This house museum contains family portraits, original furnishing, and dolls collection.
