A Waynesville Hideaway

The Old Stone Inn in Waynesville, NC is off the beaten path, yet within walking distance of downtown. It sits off a back street among the trees, and offers a hideaway from the bustle of downtown.
We stayed in one of their cottages, which was a two room suite, and a deck off the sitting room. It was very quiet, and at night we saw 5 screech owls in the eye-level branches just outside the sitting room window.
Each morning we were treated to a gourmet breakfast in the main lodge, and dinner is also served in the evenings. The dinners are of gourmet quality, and is one of the places to eat in Waynesville if you're a native, as the restaurant is open for outsiders to dine as well as guests.

Unique Quality: The main Inn, which includes the dining room, is one of the coziest facilities in Waynesville with a stone fireplace and log rafters. It is a very comfortable experience to stay here.
It's a real value for accomodations, but dinner can be expensive.
