 | Holiday Inn: The best affordable chain hotel

Holiday Inns are my favorite chain of hotels, and I have stayed in many different ones across the country. I have come to expect a great stay at them, and this one in the center of Wilmington is no exception. It is at a great location, just minutes from downtown and about 1 minute to the UNC-W campus. There is lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance, including the only Sticky Fingers in Wilmington, which is just half a block away. It has all the amenities, in room fridge and microwave, separated sink and shower, indoor pool, and perhaps best of all, free high-speed internet access in all rooms. In fact, I'm writing this tip in the hotel room right now. Our room with two double beds, a small sofa with footrest, and iron is only $78 a night during the week. The shower is excellent, and there is a bar and room service available. Holiday Inns have everything you ever need.
