Any time between the end of October to the end of April you may run into a bit of snow. Anytime between December and February it is too cold to snow, and your skin freezes from exposure in something like 30 seconds. Just keep in mind that fargo has one of the greatest tempature swings on this planet. It can be over a hundred degrees in the summer and 40 below or more in the winter. Dress appropriatly.

2005-2006 marks the 74th season of the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony. The organization has roots that go back to 1912, but the official charter was drawn up in 1931 under the name of the Fargo Civic Orchestra with Harry Rudd as conductor (from 1931 - 37), Sigvald Thompson (from 1937 - 74), J. Robert Hanson (from 1974 - 91), Joel Revzen (1992 - 2002) and Bernard Rubenstein (2003 - ).

Education has become an integral part of the Symphony's total program, providing service to students and schools within a 100-mile radius of Fargo-Moorhead. Music Director Bernard Rubinstein has a strong personal commitment to reinforce and expand the Symphony's role in music education within the community through his own visits and presentations to many different groups and schools.

"It's not just a movie...."

I went via Fargo to visit a friend just over the Minnesota border. The airport is small but efficient and is a major link to other destinations.

The city itself is one long sprawl of water towers, big box stores and the expansive North Dakota State University.

The Downtown consists mainly of the gentrified Broadway area- about 3 blocks of lounges, college bars and a few restaurants that you will find in any equivilent "re-vistalized" downtown. The entire Downtown section feels like a railway depot that had had its day and is trying hard to revitalize itself. I did not have a chance to visit Moorhead.
