Fargo River Front
by Tdawg40sw
The river front area of Fargo is a great place to get out and walk, hike, bike, or run. There is an extensive network of bike paths along the river on both the Fargo, and Moorhead sides. The path network also boasts several pedestrian/bike only bridges for easier crossing between Fargo and Moorhead. These bridges are located at Oak Grove, Dike West, and Lindenwood Park. Here is a link for bike paths in the FM area: http://www.fargomoorhead.org/fm/FM_Bikeways.pdf
After the completion of the new Main Ave bridge between Fargo and Moorhead, many historical markers were erected detailing the history of that area. Most of these markers include photos as well.
In the summer months, there are also river tours offered near the Hjemkomst center. Here, you can also rent kayaks.
Red River Valley Fair
by my2kids
If you are in the Fargo - Moorhead area in the middle of June; Be sure to stop on over at our Red River Valley Fair over in West Fargo; just off the Interstate.
10 days of fun with lots to do. Check out the exhibits in the exhibit halls, stop off at the petting zoo, pony rides for the kids, ride on the carnival rides, and listen to the sounds of various concert perfomers including those preforming on the free stages.
Don't forget to get some fair food! Yummy.
Something for the entire family.
The Fair grounds are also conviently located next to Bonanzaville USA - so you can hit that attraction too.

I am originally from Fargo, ND. I am now living in Groton, CT.
I travel alot because of my husbands Career. It is a great oppertunity for us and our children to grow, learn, and see the world. I am not allowed at this time to say what type of work he does, but can say that the country would be proud of him.
