Select Inn: Substandard in Dickinson

by Basaic

The Super 8 had no rooms available so I went down the road to the Select Inn. Bad choice. The lady behind the counter was rude, the room had no extras at all, and the coffee the next morning was bad, too. Not recommended, try someplace else.

Super 8: Nice Budget Hotel in Bowman

by Basaic

This Super 8 has all the expected ammenities. They had a microwave and a small refrigerator. The continental breakfast was good. The thing that elevated this above average for me was the freindliness and helpfulness of the staff.

Fairfield Inn -- Bismarck North

by Ewingjr98

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Bismarck which was an exact cookie cutter replica of the Fairfield we stayed in the night before in Billings, Montana. The hotel was clean and new with plenty of free parking, free wi-fi, a pool next to the front desk and the elevators, and easy access to the interstate. Though it was a few miles from downtown, the hotel was within easy walking distance of Hooters and the weird Aliens place.

The hotel has 63 new rooms on three floors (exactly the same size as our Billings hotel), and they offer free breakfast including Jimmy Deans biscuit sandwiches and make-you-own waffles.

Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park: Very nice campground near Bismarck

by Florida999

The campground is located on the Missouri river in a wooded area. It was very nice, large campsites and great facilities, and also almost empty! Just like the rest of North Dakota...

Near the campground, in the State Park area is a reconstructed Mandan Indian village, and the old fort with reconstructed buildings like Custer House.

Travel Host Motel: Lukewarm Motel

by Astrobuck

Well, let me see....this motel was lukewarm for me. It was kind of run down (not totally...on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being BAD and 10 being GREAT, I would rate it about a 5). The service was OK, the motel was somewhat older, as if it had been an old Days Inn at one time bought by someone who wanted to start their own chain. In any case, the beds were great, all King Size with 4 pillows, and the TV was OK, with some basic cable. The price was somewhat reasonable, and the continental breakfast was pretty good. But the rooms looked a little too primitive for my taste. All in all, if you want to stay here, check the room out first. It may or may not be what you are used to. Think of it as a slight upgrade from a Motel 6.

Prairie Knights Casino: Comfortable, nice view over the prairie

by cochinjew

The staff is very welcoming. the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The casino is on the ground floor if you like gambling.

Owned by the Lakota Indians. Most of the workers there are Indians. so the ambience is different if you go to any hotel or chain motel in the USA.

Depending on what you prefer....

by charlize

Depending on what you prefer. Low Price and decent rooms I usually go to Motel 6. For something more fancy, but still not so expensive I choose Holiday Inn's.
Holiday runs from about $70-$80 and Motel 6 from $30-$40. Remember: Prices change with the seasons.

Holiday has VERY nice rooms and good price. Motel 6 has decent enough rooms if you are just looking for a place to sleep for the night, and at a low price.

Pioneer Lodge in Flasher. Old...

by trosvold

Pioneer Lodge in Flasher. Old fashioned lodging the way hotels used to be. Nothing fancy, but lots of character.
$30

None of the above. It's an old building with a lot of rooms. The former owner has accumulated interesting books over the years and they are in book cases located throughout the building. The upstairs has a porch on the east side of the building that offers a nice view of main street.
