no other hotel in Minot compares
This new Sleep Inn has everything you'd expect of a much nicer chain . . . . lots of tech/computer options, great breakfast, friendly staff, good location and attached to a mall. If you have kids, the Sleep Inn in Minot also has a really nice midsize waterpark facility. Would definitely recommend this place as my top choice in Minot (and I've been passing through this town for 12 years on business).
Unique Quality: Nice meeting rooms, great breakfast, perfect location attached to mall . . . you can walk right down the hallway to a full drugstore which is nice when you're on the road and forget something. Nice Target, Old Navy and cineplex in this mall too. Price is very fair. Manager and staff are fantastic.

New and Convenient
I was in Minot two years ago and this Sleep Inn was not here. It's been built on one end of the Dakota Square Mall which makes its locaiton very convenient in that the mall has restaurants and a lot of stores including a Target, Old Navy, Osco Drug, as well as other mall stores and anchors JC Penny and Sears. The Sleep Inn also offers an indoor water park, free high speed internet access in all room, as well as free WiFi access. The rooms are nicely decorated and contemporary.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that the water park is free to hotel guests and is open until 11pm whereas it is only open until 9:00pm to the general public.
The mall is not big but it is fairly nice and has improved upon its image as a dreary, dying mall as I remember it from only 2 years ago. And this being the midwest, everyone is very friendly and welcoming.
