Good website for finding things to do in Cleveland
by Lorelei18
There is a really good website for finding day trip ideas, looking up attractions and other things to do. It's at www.positivelycleveland.com. They also have the website split up by interest, so if you are interested in arts or rock and roll or family activities, they have pages highlighting ideas of things to do for each.
One of my favorite things about Cleveland is the variety of good ethnic food. If someone was visiting me and had never been here before, I'd make sure to take them out to eat at one of our local ethnic restaurants. Sadly, along with what is my favorite thing about Cleveland, what I miss most when I am away is the restaurants. The ethnic restaurants in Cleveland are so good, Mexican, Indian, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, Lebanese, everything is delicious!

Go to the Flats, or take in a football or baseball game. Seeing the Browns play the Bengals at the old Cleveland Stadium in 1985. Both teams were awful, yet it was a great game because of who it was and where it was. May Art Modell burn in hell for even thinking about depriving this fine town of football.
The River that Works
by Toughluck
The Cuyahoga River has been the life's blood of the City since it's settlement. As a harbor for the city, it grew into an industrial power house. Steel Mills, Oil Refineries, Salt Mine, transitions from water to land transportation. The River has made the city what it is today. An again, it is leading to the revitalization of the city through the Flats development into an entertainment center and the Warehouse District following suit.

The Flats as I knew it was always the industrical expanse that stretched from the lakefront up river for more than 5 miles. Today, the Flats has become an entertainment district near the lake. The industrial flats still stretches south along the river for miles and large bulk carriers ('Ore Boats' ) pass slowly in front of the diners and dancers of the renewed flats .
Indians vs Reds

Catching a game at Progressive Field is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening. Hanging out and rooting for your favorite team with 37,000 other fans is as american as apple pie.
The stadium is nicely designed and the sight lines are excellent. Depending on where your seats are located, you can check out the game from various angles. The upper deck was not my favorite place to sit, our bleacher seats and first baseline seats were much better. There is definitely a place for everyone, no matter what your price range. Tickets ranges are $8 - $65.
Chagrin Falls
by yellowbell
Chagrin is a quaint little town with its curio shops, restaurants, library etc. Keep your eyes open as you might miss the falls!
On the way there, admire the stately mansions tucked behind rows of trees.
The hilly road gets a little slippery especially since we drove on a winter day.
