Growing up my mom always took...

Growing up my mom always took my sisters and I to cemetaries. I know, I know...it sounds a little weird. But she was into genealogy (studying the history of our family) and so she would go make rubbings of the gravestones. It's actually calming to be in the cemetaries back east. They are so quiet, and there are all of these great, big tombstones that we can't have here on the west coast.
Very nice bartender with good beer

These guys understand Ales! Real Ale... done the traditional way. This is the brewpub that the Local homebrewers seem to really like. The quintisential local brewpub with dark wood wainscoating, a local feel, and good beer to drink. The head brewer helped open the Columbus Brewing Company and now brews here at Barley's.
If you are looking for a family place or a new, modern interior look at my other recommendations. This is 'ye old brewpub' with ye old cask conditioned ales as well as other filtered beer. Don't get me started on ales vs. lagers or cask conditioned... but if you want real ale, this is the place in Columbus! Gotta have balls.... Sauerkraut balls, that is! I wanted a snack as I made my way to each of this city's brewpubs and here I tried the sauerkraut balls and the cheese dip with pita. I do wish I had asked for chips because once I ate the sauerkraut balls (I loved them) and then tried the cheese dip I was getting really full. The dip was okay... The balls were great!

More photos that are self explanatory from this park. We spent two consecutives evenings here just walking the trails and clicking away to glory. The luxury of space is something the US has that is indubitable!
Home of Cornfields and Apple Orchards...oh and ME!

The wooded rolling hills are tranquility itself, making you wish that everyday could be spent beneath its flawless blue sky and picturesque clouds, drinking in sunshine, and listening to the sounds of life that don't involve car horns, swearing, and someone elses stereo blaring over it all.
"The River at Night"
Not really somewhere that you want to be walking by yourself...but really quite pretty.
It is also interesting to note that, the biggest celebration of the year in Columus is "Red, White, and Boom". It is a Independence Day fireworks display (though never held on the 4th of July) that is supposed to be one of the biggest in America. Anyway, it is held along this riverfront and is a MUST SEE event, though parking will probably drive (he, he) you crazy.
