I happened to be in Columbus for a business trip and this was the recommended hotel.
What a joke! This used to be a Holiday Inn and I can see why they decided to sell it.
Apparently, the new ownder have only one goal: to milk it to the ground without doing any improvements whatsoever. There is even a complete wing closed down.
It's too bad I didn't have my camera to show some pictures.
The room was falling apart. My bath tub was stained and mysteriously spotted. Things that should have been bolted kept falling off the walls (TP dispenser, towel rack, etc)
At the time of my stay, the place was empty, yet I was given a room with no outside window (a patio door leading to the inside covered court).
The restaurant was rarely opened and the one time I went there for dinner, I was told I couldn't charge to my room because the restaurant was a separate entity (yet it's located inside the hotel). I guess they don't want their name associated with the restaurant.
They brag about the free breakfast, but who would want to pay for a selection of stall coffee, white toast or whole wheat.
Anyway, I have rarely seen a place more in need of a demolition ball.
