Hoover state preserve
by abi_maha
The Hoover dam reservoir is in itself a great place to spend a few hours but recently we heard of the Hoover state preserve being a birder's delight. So last Sunday we photography enthusiasts headed there to spend the afternoon and it was truly wonderful! We caught some upclose pics of the Great blue heron, Blue Jay, Hairy Woodpeckers and more geese! The preserve is so close to the city and yet secluded, do be warned some stretches of the road are not even tarred, so it entails some trekking for your car as well !
perfectly still waters and surroundings gave us a sense of being one with nature, truly what a find!!
Asian Fusion
by tee0206 about Liu Pon Xi
This place is cool and classy. The food is more or less Asian fusion. The sushi isn't bad for the Columbus area. The location is great, as it's right on the Short North. If it's a gallery hop night and the weather is nice, try to get a table on the patio. It's a great place to people watch. The bathroom is something to check out for sure. The water in the sink comes out of a stick of bamboo. I've had some great memories of that place. The chicken lettuce wraps are my favorite. It's delicious.
Visit the Easton Shopping...

Visit the Easton Shopping Center
This has developed over the years into a first-rate shopping experience. It was established by Lex Wexner (the founder of The Limited chain of clothing stores) and is unique in the world of shopping in terms of the experience. It starts off like a giant mall only it is completely outdoors. It has streets, fountains, telephone booths, and all the like. The feeling you get is that you are in a mid-size town in Anytown, America except that all the buildings contain the masters of the shopping world. You can shop at places like Williams Sonoma, the Pottery Barn, the Gap, Barnes & Noble, Nordstrom, and of course - The Limited. Now, these are places that you may find in any mall in the county, but you'll not find them in any setting like this - I guarantee it. This is a very unique shopping experience to say the least. One last thing, I would not normally recommend stopping at a McDonalds to eat, but you have to go to the one in Easton. Particularly if you have kids. They have a Disney-like family-fun center that will blow your mind.
Wexner Center
by lashr1999
The Wexner Center showcases visual arts exhibitions, music and dance concerts, performances, films, videos, and mixed-media projects. This alternative building has a lot of grids and straight lines. To get the look on the outside of the building the functionality of the inside of the building was sacrificed. From what I was told, the acoustics is bad and the desks are too small.
