Excellent, Handy Accomodations
Excellent hotel handy to the National Museum of the US Air Force, being south of downtown Dayton near the University and near easy freeway access.
We left a nearby unmentionable hotel to transfer here because we found the other rooms unacceptably dirty after checkin. Upon immediately complaining and leaving, we had our credit card charges reversed. The European way of looking at a room before checking into hotel, inn or pension accomodations is vastly superior to the American way of registering with room sight unseen.
The University of Dayton Courtyard by Marriott, however, offered very good accommodations, clean, comfortable and quiet. We checked in late and just stayed one night, so didn't use any of the hotels' amenities. In Ohio you will find three taxes added to your hotel bill: Occupancy Sales tax, State Occupancy Sales Tax and County Tax. These three taxes added over $15 to the total bill for each room.
Unique Quality: Two first floor rooms asked for and given a party of three. Nothing unique-just a good, quiet, clean comfortable room with very comfortable king-size bed. Final bill left overnight in envelope under room door. Express checkout used. Simply call the Front Desk and indicate that you are vacating your room. Leave the guestroom card in the room next to the phone or drop it at the Front Desk.
