Courtyard Dayton Beavercreek: Good Hotel
Living in Dayton, I can't vouch for many of the hotels. However this is the one place I stayed when I was first interviewed for my current job. It's a good hotel in a great location on the North side of the Fairfield Commons Mall

Locally-owned city motels/hotels: Be Careful!
Be careful when deciding to stop at a seedy-looking motel within the city limits. Most are havens for prostitution...which in itself doesn't bother me much, but on a fairly regular basis people are shot, robbed, stabbed, etc.....a couple months ago a man's hand was cut off with a hatchet at the Economy Motel (North Dayton). Unless you are very well-protected (and not bothered by sounds coming from the next room or parking lot), it's probably worth your while and your dollar to stay in the suburbs or at a chain while here.

Courtyard Dayton - BeaverCreek: Courtyard (Beavercreek) Clean and Inexpensive.
I chose the Courtyard Beavercreek because of it's proximity to the Air Force Museum (Approximately 5 Miles). I had some difficulty finding something close as the Museum cannot make recommendations. Too bad I hadn't found VT before the trip!
Unique Quality: The Beavercreek Courtyard is like most other Courtyards. It's not one of those hotels you'll remember for it's unique character but it will provide you with a good clean room at a reasonable price. More often than not, that's what's most important anyway.
This Courtyard is in a good part of town and there is a mall right next to it which I am sure would have plenty of food and shopping to offer.

Holiday Inn - Miamisburg / Dayton Mall: Holiday Inn - Miamisburg / Dayton Mall
Well, let's just say ol' Kdoc hasn't stayed there overnight. But when there was someone who was awfully close to being Mrs. Kdoc, it was a nice half way point between offices on the lunch hours.
Once you get that image burned out of your head, we can progress to the hotel, because it is actually pretty nice. There is a pool, a restaurant, the usual conference room stuff. And it is just about everything you would expect from a holiday Inn.
The best thing about it is the location. It is not downtown, so it is cheaper. And it is at the southern point of where everything goes on, so chances are that you will be close to somplace you need to be anyway.
Did I mention Ping Pong? Yep, they have a table! Check out the website for special web rates, amenites, and directions. Ignore the pricing below, check out the web rates or call the number.
Unique Quality: Cut and pasted from their web-page for your viewing pleasure.

Many places to stay in the...
Many places to stay in the area. Just need to be careful where. Do not stay on the west part of Dayton, it is known as the rough area. You know, casual drive by shootings and such!
