Fort Ancient State Memorial
Seven miles southeast of Lebanon on St. Rt. 350 is Fort Ancient State Memorial. Preserved are 18,000 feet of earthen walls built by American Indians 2,000 years ago. Portions of the walls were used with the Sun and Moon to provide the ancient peoples a calendar. A modern museum here portrays 15,000 years of American Indian history in the Ohio River Valley.
