As you walk in your immeadiate reaction is "well this typical" and you would be right. It's a typical parrothead hide out. Perfect for a fun time and a little romance. We got the King room with a jacuzzi, and that's pretty much what you get. It's definately spacious. Keep this in mind that you're on vacation and 10% of your time is going to be in the room and the rest else where. But that 10% is rather nice, you get to choose from going to the bar which is seperate from the inn and seems to be the place to meet the locals, renting jet skis', or lounging around the beach in the provided chairs with your feet in the water or by a fire pot (which the wood is provided for you). At $129/ night it was worth it.
Unique Quality: A couple of things that were surprising though. On the our second night when we wanted to order pizza we found out that there were no phones and when speaking to others who stayed there, that was the statice quo. Remember though, it took us two nights to find out that little mystery. Way to busy too care on the first night. So if you don't have a cell, your S.O.L. The other tied into the first. Since there were no phones, I thought that I would go to the front desk to make the call.... well they closed at 6pm that day. Now I don't know if this is the norm, but I found it unusual and a little unsettling. I could live with the first but the second was a downer. We were only a 5 minute walk from the Jet Express ferry to Put-In-Bay, so that was a plus, and if you need some supplies and you have had a few already the dock on the other side of the road is open, they have the basics and some libations, though very limited. But if your the DD in the group, your not to far from a party store, Kreoger or the trusty Walmart. But the best part about the stay at the Beechfront Resort was deffinately the sunsets. If you take light heartly that there is a nuclear power plant in the veiw and just ignore it you'll be blessed with the most beatiful sunset the lake has to offer. See the pic I downloaded.
Directions: just by the draw bridge and a stones throw from downtown
