I have stayed at this hotel quite a bit, while working in Portsmouth. Approximately 100 nights in the last 2 years, and 40 already this year.
I think it is without a doubt the place to stay when in Portsmouth, although it is probably the most expensive, about $100 a night. It is well maintained, newer, with good furnishings and linens. Free breakfast and pool. As of this writing, the pool is being renovated and an exercise room is being added.
Available computer & printer in lobby. Broadband (wired) internet in rooms. All rooms have microwave & small refrigerator.
Unique Quality: Good continental breakfast. Biscuits and gravy most days, omelettes and sausage on Tues & Thursdays. Also the usual cereal, bagels, fruit, doughnuts, and their featured cinnamon rolls.
Directions: Just north of Portsmouth, off 23 north. Enter near the Glockner's car dealership. Near McDonald's, KFC/TacoBell. Groceries at Village Market just south 1/4 mile, or Kroger's, about 1 mile south.
